how i face my first interview ...part two
hi friends,
in last post as i told my number came by the evening 5 pm. the interviewer was young man near 27, he greeted me very well "hi I'm Alok" at that i was so nerves that though he was knowing my name still again introduced myself "hi I'm Abhishek" and i forget to wish him good evening sir or what i had prepared. sir had looked my C.V with interest and first thing that he asked me 'are u from U.P board'.i proudly said "yes sir, I'm from Allahabad and i have done my schooling from Allahabad itself in Hindi medium". Then he asked me about my favorite subject. i said "communication and lic(Linear integrated circuit)".
"what is the most interesting part that you like in communication"
"sir,wireless communication"
"how does the T.V transmission takes place".
Up to here everything was alright but when he ask about transmission my trouble started though i know very well as it is my favorite subject still i was not able to give the proper sequence to my answer....
might be sir has noticed about that though i know but not able to communicate..
"How the colored signal are generated in T.V"
Again i started in same way.."sir there are trinton gun which are three electron guns....and so on..."..again the problem was same as from the last 15 years of my study i have studied everything in Hindi as "in maths sine" is called "Jya", 'cosine' is ''cojya",physics is "Bhautic Vigyan" and so on....now all of sudden everything is changed that was my main problem.
then sir asked "this is old technology what about the newer technologies"
"sir now a days LCDs and TFT screens are used and in that they use colore phosphorus to generate colored signal....."(i would like to mention here that here I'm at least writing something but at that time as it was my first interview i was totally nerves so nothing was coming out of my mouth..).
Sir had changed thee topic "which are your fevourate subjets other that this i said LIC".
I thought sir was not knowing about that subject that why for the next few secons he didn't Ask me anything and i was also quite.
"What you have studied in that subject ..?"
"sir basically this is IC based subject and hv studied abot the IC's like Ic555, Ic646, Ic741"
At that iwas trying to as much clear as i can but still that was not sufficient to convince him. Again there was silent.
"O.k now i'll ask u a simple riddle"..
Till then i was completelly out of my mind as though i was knowing all the thing that sir has Asked but still there was.........??
sir has asked me riddle but i was not in that condition to give the answer.
"Do you know the programing....??"
I said in "assembly language"
Make a program of arrenge the three numbers in assending order.
I did that as there was writting part.
Then sir asked me about my project,what was my contribution in that as that was a group project. I gave a satishfactory answer in my own way of language near to english. All this had taken hardly 15 to 20 minutes and sir said thank you you may leave now.
When i came out of room i was shoked, though my friends they had given more that 40 minutes interview but mine was just 20 just half. I knew that i'm not going to be selected according to my performance.
So i decide to leave from the college without listening the result as i knew already what is going to be my result...i step down few steps as well becose WIPRO was thw next company to come by the next morning only..and iwas really very tensed as i hd not prepared anything for the aptitude round of next company... but then i thought why to afraid i have done what i can do, so if i have spend hole day without having anything so lets listen the result as well.
I sat on the bench in the coridore within 5 minutess a lady H.R came and anounced my name. i stood up and went towards her she said "you have cleared your first round go down stare for next round". That was one of the most happiest moment of my life when i listen that. Really speaking you may laugh at me as i was more happy not becose i had cleared that round but for that now i need not to prepare for the aptitude of another company.
that was only first round now i had to face the H.R round which is manly for checking your communication skills and many had been rejected in this round......
so how i did in H.R round find out in my next post....

how i faced my first interview..part 1
Hi guys as i told u earlier i have studied in Hindi medium,"U.P Board",which is considered one of the toughest board in India.In third year second semester after the exams we have to sit for the placement, the dream of all students who take admission in engineering to get placed in their 'DREAM COMPANY' or any company. 90% students take admission for this placement.
During month march we have seen PPT's (Pre Placement talk,where different company's representatives come and tell "why should we join their company , what are the benefits they are going to provide more than other company"). Lots of companies came the first one was Tcs then Wipro,L & T info tech and so on....but i had attended only TCs as it number one software company of India .Their H.R's(Human Resource) came and told us about lots of things about the Tcs. After listening all that i have decided to sit in Tcs. That was suppose to be the first company that was about to come......for our placement.
There are two steps for their selection process one is apptitue round, second one is personal interview (Technical and H.R) . In apptitude test they chek genarally I.Q level of student, there are three sections in that one is verbal ability, second is analytical ability and last one is maths section. Frankly speaking it very easy to clear the first round for the Tcs as their first two sections are from one single book named"Baren's GRE 12th edition",if some one reads model test papers from that book anyone can easily crack first round...next is maths section that comes very easy for sample paper one can refer to www.freshersworld.com ,near about 300 students appeared for the aptitude test and near 220 selected for second round.. i was one of them who cleared first round.
Now here it comes the final lap....my interview was by 26 of June.in the early morning by 9am we were asked to present there. boys were told to wear Formals along with Tye and girls were told to wear "salwar suit",mostly our college uniform.me along with my friends reach to college by sharp 9 am. There was curiosity and fear both along with excitement too as this was going to be my first interview which was going to decide rest of my future..... we were asked to go sit in one room and they will cal us one by one. my tern was came by the evening 5 pm till then all of friends have given their technical as well hr both and waiting as result was suppose to be out near by 9 pm. till the evening i was totally afraid what to do as i haven't taken my breakfast as well lunch,but who care for that as next few moments are going to be the deciding factor of my life and carrier... ...

My first coaching class..
hi friends as i belong from Allahabad,i have done my schooling from Allahabad itself in hindi medium.In class x and xii i have scored good marks so like as usual i also decide to go for iit-jee preparation.At that time Fitjee was one of the most famous coaching class so i decided to go to delhi for coaching.my two friends Amresh and Mahendra and my cousin ashish were also with me...the day day when i have reached in Delhi i feel very sad as first time i went out of my home.home sickness was teasing me very much.
the coaching was about to start on 7th of July afternoon.my cousin suggested to go for movie first,"Quyamat,city under threat,"starer Ajay devgan,Sunil Shetty,Arbaz Khan,Sanjay kapoor and Ashish chaudhary.In this film Miss india neha Dhupia was introduced and the action of the movie was also good.So along with my friends i went to "PARAS" cinemahall as it was near to my room and we were new there.The movie was started by 12:30pm.We enjoyed there a lot and forget about the coaching class totally,the first class was at 2:30 pm but we have reached at 3:30pm,just one hr late so the introduction session was over.i entered in the classroom and sit on the last bench,after 5 mins of lecture i was plucking my hair ,looking here and there as there was no interest in the class.the first class was of Physics by SAHAY sir.the lecture was in English and everything was flowing out of my head.So i started watching how many girls are there in my class as i have listen a lot about "Delhi's Girls". There were two girls but they appeared quite boring, not up to slandered as i thought.
In the second lecture, that was of maths by " N.K Dubey " though he was short heighten but appeared quit interesting. Though he was giving lecture in English but still i was able to understand what he was trying to teach. suddenly i heard a voice "may i come in sir".the sweet girl quite fare entered in the class and sat at the last bench next to my seat.Her name was supriya, pure dellit girl.i thought to talk to her but i didn't have that much guts as I'm a typical "U.P board" guy who feel very shy to speak in front of girls,so i was quite and trying to concentrate on math lecture as it was my favourite subject....
suddenly bell rang and everybody left the class...

I'm Back
Hi guys,
i'm back with full zest to write more about my college life. now in 2009 i'm in final year and lot of thing have changed since my last post.as now i got branch change,m placed in tcs and lots of things...well i'll write about all these happening and my encounter with life fundas soon.
